- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 1 cup regular ice cubes or 2 cups crushed ice (enough to fill your glass)
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 5 fresh mint sprigs
- In a highball glass or Julep cup, add fresh mint leaves and simple syrup. With your muddler, begin smashing the ingredients. Make sure you crush the mint leaves while muddling to extract the flavor.
- Next add the bourbon.
- Fill the cup with ice and add a sprig of mint for a garnish. Sip and enjoy.
